Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Luxor ES-335 style hollowbody guitar, crafted in Japan during the golden age of the famous "Lawsuit Era" (1970s).
About Luxor & MIJ Quality:
Luxor guitars were high-quality instruments ordered by German distributors and built in renowned Japanese factories (such as Matsumoku or FujiGen, which also produced for Ibanez, Aria, and Greco). These guitars are famous for capturing the exact vibe, construction, and woody tone of the American originals at a fraction of the price. The craftsmanship, tonewoods, and attention to detail from this era outshine many modern mid-tier instruments.
Condition & Professional Upgrades:
This guitar has just been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, and professionally set up. It is 100% stage- and studio-ready.
Frets & Playability: The frets have been freshly polished and offer plenty of "meat" (fret life) left for years of playing. The neck is perfectly straight.
Low Action: It features a highly comfortable, low action of just 2.0 mm at the 12th fret, making it a breeze to play jazz, blues, or rock.
Originality: The guitar is completely original, with the only exception being one Tone knob, which has been replaced with a period-correct, authentic replacement match.
Important Note on the Neck:
The neck previously suffered a typical headstock/neck crack, which has been professionally repaired to the highest standards. The repair is structurally rock-solid, completely stable, and finished so beautifully that it feels entirely smooth under your thumb—as smooth as a baby's bottom. You will not feel it at all while playing.
