Bought this a year ago. I played seldomly. Theres no dead frets on it but there is some significant fret buzz on the A string 1st fret. But I'm also using light gauge strings and its a zero fret so I wonder if thats got something to do with it. The bass is mostly original aside from the body being modified to house Bartolini bass pickups for Rickenbacker 400x basses. The reason for this is, the stock pickups were shot and had low output. I couldn't for the life of me find reproduction pickups for this model bass especially humbucker types. So I decided to use the Bartolinis because theyre a soapbar type that don't require specific syringe spacing which was another problem i ran into finding replacement pickups for this bass. And I routed the cavities do the pickups would go in the original spot they were mounted in from the factory. I crudely made another pickguard(shitguard) for it to house a 3 position switch because the original is only 2 positions. I swapped the bridge for a better one as well and put a 1/16 shim underneath it.

As far as sound goes, its decent but it has alot of attack and too much treble for my liking. But I did save the original pickguard, switch, bridge and screws for the switch. But I dont have the original pickups. Overall, the aftermarket pickups were an improvement. I did have a problem with the pickguard not sitting flush on the body because the volume pot is resting on the bridge pickup cable. I will upload a sound demo by Monday. To all low balling pieces of shit, I will not sell this for dirt cheap, Id rather part it out instead. Im just trying to see if I can get rid of it as a whole. Im asking $825 or best offer.
