DESCRIPTION

The Aura MK II Jazz is designed for players seeking warmth, color, flexibility, effortless projection, and modern boutique-level performance. This special-order configuration features a Red Brass leadpipe paired with an upgraded Gold Brass bell, creating a unique balance of warmth, richness, projection, and tonal focus.

Finished in a stunning Copper Lacquer, this trumpet displays beautiful peach, rose-gold, and copper tones that shift subtly under different lighting conditions. The result is a visually striking instrument that stands apart from traditional lacquered or silver-plated trumpets.

Built on the Aura MK II platform utilizing a .459" medium-large bore, an oversized 5.59" (142mm) bell for excellent projection, and a larger 43 taper design, this trumpet offers an open blow, broad sound, excellent slotting, and outstanding versatility across a wide variety of musical settings.

This instrument includes all three factory tuning slide options—Yellow Brass, Red Brass, and Nickel Silver—allowing players to tailor the horn's response, feel, and tonal characteristics to their personal preferences. It also comes complete with a heavyweight Monette-style 3C mouthpiece, providing a stable and versatile setup right out of the case.

It has only been used for inspection, setup, photography, video demonstrations, final adjustment, and professional play-testing by Arch City Brass.

The Aura MK II Jazz was designed to bridge the gap between traditional large-bell commercial trumpets and modern boutique instruments.

The combination of the Red Brass leadpipe and Gold Brass bell creates a rich, complex sound that sits between the traditional Jazz and Standard models, offering warmth without sacrificing clarity, focus, or projection.

If a classic 43-style trumpet and a modern boutique trumpet had a baby, the result would be something very much like the Aura MK II Jazz. It combines the broad projection, familiar feel, and versatility players appreciate in a 43-style trumpet with the openness, efficiency, and responsiveness often associated with today's premium boutique instruments.

One of the most unique features of the Aura platform is its ability to be customized to the player's preferences. The included Yellow Brass, Red Brass, and Nickel Silver tuning slides allow you to alter the instrument's response, projection, articulation, and tonal color. Pair that with the included heavyweight and standard-weight valve cap and button options, and you can further adjust the horn's balance, feel, and overall playing characteristics.

Prefer a lighter, more responsive setup? Install the standard-weight caps and experiment with the Yellow Brass or Nickel Silver tuning slide. Looking for maximum warmth, stability, and depth? The heavyweight trim package and Red Brass tuning slide provide a more substantial feel with added tonal richness.

In effect, you're getting multiple personalities in a single trumpet, allowing you to tailor the instrument for jazz, commercial work, church playing, big band, studio sessions, or general all-around performance.

Due to a production oversight, the tuning slides were not individually marked by material. All three factory slides are included and allow players to experiment with different response and tonal characteristics.
