Here we have an amazing example of this 2 pickup 1966 Harmony Bobcat electric guitar that just had it's 60th. 'Birthday' back in March of this year! The guitar has remained in 100% original and in very clean, lightly played condition for 6 decades.

Fresh in and stored for decades from a huge endless vintage instrument collector's heat controlled smoke free estate. We have sold hundreds of guitars-amps- pedals-synths etc. from it for over 5 years now. We never know what is coming in every month when a load is dropped off. Exciting!

After sitting for many years and just needing attention and love, I went through the entire guitar. I cleaned all the electronics, cleaned and seasoned the fretboard and bridge, with frets showing no wear, I installed some fresh Ernie Ball .10-.46 strings, with a drop of oil on the tuners that hold nice and tight. This guitar tuned right up and it chimed out nice and loud when not even plugged in. This little guy is a ringer! Easy low adjustable action and the DeArmond gold foil pickups just SCREAM!

Cosmetically a real sharp looker with vintage written all over it. Mostly just very light honest wear with nicks, bumps, and bruises, as seen in the many pictures. The previous owner did a good job touching up the to the wood dings on the tip of the headstock. He did miss a few as you can see.

A nice and light smaller guitar, with a big guitar SOUND. Ready to play!

The 1966 Harmony Silhouette H-15 (also known as the Bobkat) is a classic, entry-level offset guitar made in Chicago. It is highly prized for its vintage DeArmond "Golden-Tone" pickups, which deliver a distinct, punchy "gold foil" tone.

Body & Wood:

• Body Shape: Slightly offset double-cutaway, solid maple.
• Finish: Shaded Walnut.
• Dimensions: 36.75" overall length, 12.75" body width, and 1.5" body thickness.

Neck & Fingerboard:

• Neck Material: Hardwood (bolt-on construction, typically 3-bolt).
• Scale Length: 24.25".
• Fingerboard Material: Ebonized maple (stained to look like dark ebony) with white dot inlays.
• Number of Frets: 20.
• Headstock: Angular shape (shared with the H14).

Hardware:

• Bridge/Tailpiece: Floating/adjustable archtop rosewood bridge with a chrome-covered fixed tailpiece.
• Tuners: 6-on-a-side Waverly tuners.
• Pickguard: White.
• Vibrato: Optional. This standard model has fixed tailpiece.
• Electronics:
• Pickups: Two DeArmond "Golden-Tone" (often called "gold foil") soapbar single-coil pickups (S-grille style).

• Controls: Two volume controls, two tone controls, and a 3-way toggle pickup selector.

We are having and have had a lot of fun here at Gordy's Music! I was just remembering about 35 years ago a tour bus pulled up to our little shop, and who rolls right in and hangs out for an hour? Lenny Kravitz and his entire group, right about the same time I was selling many guitars to and chauffeuring around Dee Dee Ramone who had an apartment a block down from my house.
