2024 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Murphy Lab Light Aged with Seymour Duncan CustomShop Pearly Gates pickups. This guitar was bought brand new in November 2025 for $8,200. It is a fantastic guitar. It was recently set up by a professional luthier. The aging is very cool and well done. I have had the pleasure of seeing a few real 1959 Les Pauls in person, and this looks the part. I got this guitar specifically because it looks so much like Billy Gibbons’ Pearly Gates guitar. The finish and the flame are as close as you can get without buying his $10,000+ signature model. To make it even closer, I had a professional Luthier at Mike Lull’s Guitar Works install the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop hand-wound by MJ Pearly Gates pickups (the last image shows the exact pickups). The only reason I have the guitar rated “Very Good” rather than “Excellent” is that I cannot tell whether a ding is something I put on the guitar or whether it came from the Murphy Lab. I want to be as transparent as possible. Please also note some buckle rash scratches on the back (second-to-last photo), but to be honest, with all the other relic work on the guitar, it is hard to see unless you’re in the right lighting. It was hard to even photograph. Though if you are buying a Light Aged Murphy lab, it shouldn’t matter. Ships in original box and all original case candy included (With COA). Sold as is, no returns.
