Gibson Les Paul Custom 1954 '54 reissue 'Black Beauty' R4 from the Gibson Custom Shop.

Made in 2010. Ebony VOS finish.

All original with no modifications.

Guitar is in excellent condition with several very minor dings and pick marks, but no paint is missing. There is also minimal loss of gold as can be seen by the pictures. I tried to remove all the lint and pick dust before taking photos, but there are bits of dust here and there in the pictures (as well as lots of reflections!). I have played this guitar only in 'black tie' jazz shows, and the guitar shows negligible wear. The frets have minimal to no wear. Guitar has been well cared for with no funny smells. The case does have some minor scuffs, but is totally functional and all latches work.

The original finish was the VOS format, but with polishing over the years, it now looks like a gloss finish, though there is the usual VOS yellowing of the binding.

The body is solid mahogany.. The top is carved mahogany.

Neck is mahogany with an ebony fretboard. Radius is 12". Nut width is 1.69 inches. The neck is straight and has required no truss rod adjustment.

Pickups are a P90 in the bridge and a 'staple' pickup at the neck position.

The guitar comes with the original hardshell Gibson custom shop case as well as all the case candy and COA as seen.

This guitar has zero issues and is a fantastic player. This sale is a difficult one for me. I am a tele guy, but when I got this guitar years ago, I swore I'd never sell it(!)
