Early Strait Music address and stamp! These stamps phased out by 1982. Austin music history! Could this have belonged to….?

Vintage collectors note the following about 1981 TS9s:

  • The "Black Label": The very first, highly coveted 1981 TS9s featured a black label on the underside.
  • Rare Chips: Unlike later runs, these transitional 1981 models often shipped with the rare JRC2043DD op-amp

This features the JRC 2043D , known to be the chips in the very first TS9’s SRV owned.

“SRV frequented Strait Music in Austin. As a fixture of the Austin music scene, he and his bandmates—such as Double Trouble drummer Chris Layton—frequented the local instrument shop Strait Music to pick up gear and drum supplies. [1, 2, 3, 4]Strait Music Company has been a staple in the Austin area sinc 1967"
Oh… it sounds amazing by the way. Has a Replacement battery cover and no back sticker but the components date to 1981 and the outer box condition is amazing
