Up for sale is a legendary piece of German Drum history. The legendary HLD-581RH Heavy Beech Snare with REAL African Bubigna outer and inner veneer.
This is a much rarer 10-lug version produced only for few years in early 90s before Sonor discontinued Signature Series, making it a highly desirable piece for serious Sonor collectors and studio players. 10-lug version of the HLD-581 provide more opened sonic characteristics, sweeter overtone and ease of tuning compared to 12-lug HLD-581.
Specifications & Features:
Shell: Heavy Beech shell finished with stunning inner and outer African Bubinga veneers.
Hardware: Original Sonor Signature Series heavy Die-Cast Hoops, slotted tension rods, and the iconic Parallel Strainer system.
Lugs: Rare 10-lug configuration.
Origin: Made in Germany.
Condition (8.5-9/10 - Excellent Vintage Condition):
This drum has been meticulously cared for in a climate-controlled studio environment.
Shell/Veneer: The African Bubinga wood grain is absolutely gorgeous with a rich, deep and natural finish. No dings, cracks, or ply separation. Bearing Edges are smooth and clean without any damage.
Hardware: The chrome hardware is brilliantly shiny and exceptionally clean for its age, showing only very minor, standard signs of aging (minimal to no pitting). The complex parallel strainer mechanism operates smoothly. Snare wire is the original Sonor wire for Parallel strainer.
