Martin / 1995 000-42 Custom SQ-Neck

A guitar that has been played for a long time and has matured well has a certain aura about it, both in its sound and appearance.

This 000-42 Custom is exactly one of them.

It boasts the dignified 42-style ornamentation and the comfortable 000 size that suits the player.

And the most noteworthy point of this particular instrument is the clear and well-defined tone, balanced with soft overtones.

While maintaining the characteristic closeness of the 000 series, the depth of the Indian rosewood gives the sound breadth, and the resonance naturally projects forward. It's neither overly resonant nor muffled.

This is also due to the forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing structure, and it's a tone unique to a "grown-up guitar" where vibrations have settled throughout the instrument after years of playing.

The unique rigidity and responsiveness provided by the square rod neck are also noteworthy. The sound image takes on definition depending on the touch, and every expression, from delicate nuances to powerful strokes, receives a solid response.

The exterior has the distinctive character of a guitar that has aged over time. The small dents and scratches are evidence of the instrument's actual playing, and they are not merely damage, but rather natural traces of its history, supporting its sound.

[Condition]
-There are minor dents and playing scratches, but aside from that, there is no damage that would hinder playability.
-The V-shaped neck fits comfortably in the hand, and there is no buzzing or dead spots in the sound; the playing condition is good.
-String height at 12th fret: 6th string side 2.1mm, 1st string side 1.7mm
-Saddle protrusion: Approx. 3.0mm-3.5mm
-Strap pin installed at the base of the neck.
-Crack repaired on the upper right of the soundhole.
-Body top center seam crack, repaired with adhesive/reinforcement
-Pickguard replaced
-The scalloped X-bracing has been further modified by sanding. (There is a difference in the depth of sanding between the left and right sides.) There are no problems with playability or the instrument's condition.
