Vintage Vox V846 Wah-Wah Pedal w/ Original Carrying Case – Made in Italy for Thomas Organ

Up for sale is a vintage Vox V846 Wah-Wah pedal made in Italy for Thomas Organ Co., complete including what appears to be its original carrying case.

This pedal came from a friend, a lifelong musician who recently retired and passed along some of his gear. I’m primarily a bass player and don’t have much use for a wah pedal, so I’ve decided to pass it along to someone who will appreciate it.

Vintage Italian-made Vox V846 Wah-Wah pedals were manufactured for Thomas Organ Co in the late 60s and early 70s. Based on construction, components, and serial-number research, it appears to date from the late 1960s to early 1970s era. These Italian Vox wahs have earned a strong reputation among players and collectors for their tone, build quality, and historical significance. Buyers should make their own determination regarding exact production year.

Condition

• Includes original carrying case in good vintage condition.
• Did a quick trial test with a fresh 9V battery using my bass and it does indeed wah
• Footswitch functions properly.
• Cosmetic wear consistent with age and normal use.
• Internal components appear largely original, though I have not performed a detailed component-by-component verification.
• Battery clip wiring has been replaced.

I have not attempted any restoration, repairs, cleaning, or modifications beyond the battery replacement.

Because I am not a vintage pedal expert, I have tried to photograph the pedal thoroughly, including the internal circuitry. Buyers can evaluate originality and condition for themselves. Additional photos are available upon request.
