🙋🏻♂️ Welcome and Foreword Hello and welcome to my Reverb Shop! Thank you for your interest in this listing. Every instrument I offer comes from my private collection and is treated with great care and respect. Each instrument is thoroughly checked and tested to ensure full functionality and excellent condition. Before any instrument is listed for sale, it goes through a professional multi-stage inspection by our technician. Only after successfully passing all functional and visual checks is it approved for listing.
I am aware that my prices may be above average, but this reflects my commitment to transparency, careful preparation, and customer satisfaction. Packaging alone takes 2–4 hours, with multiple layers of protection to ensure safe and worry-free transport. Quality — both of the instruments and my work — is my top priority. I am always available to answer questions and ensure a smooth buying experience.
Enjoy reading the description.
🎹 Information about the Item for Sale I am offering the legendary Roland Jupiter-4, the historic first synthesizer to bear the majestic "Jupiter" name. Released in 1978, the Jupiter-4 is an absolute analog purist's dream. It represents an era where polyphonic synthesizers were transitioning into microprocessor control (famously dubbed the "Compunicator" series by Roland), offering patch memory alongside raw, discrete analog circuits.
The Jupiter-4 is universally famous for its incredibly fat, unstable, and organic sound character. Unlike the later Jupiter-8, which sounds smooth and polished, the Jupiter-4 is aggressive, raw, and full of vintage attitude. Driven by its single robust VCO per voice (with sub-oscillators), its legendary IR3109 low-pass resonant filter, and one of the thickest, most beautiful analog Stereo Chorus circuits ever designed, it easily creates earth-shaking basses, cutting leads, and beautifully nostalgic, swirling pads.
Technically, this Roland Jupiter-4 is in excellent operational condition. These early polyphonic synthesizers require expert care to ensure voice allocation and tuning remain stable—this unit has been thoroughly checked, calibrated, and cleaned. All toggle switches, sliders, the built-in arpeggiator, and preset buttons respond beautifully. Optically, it is in gorgeous vintage condition, complete with its classic chunky aesthetic and original side panels showing only minimal, normal signs of wear from its long history.
Please note: This listing includes the Roland Jupiter-4 and the power cable.
🔌 Optional MIDI Upgrade This instrument is currently in its 100% original, unmodified condition to preserve its maximum collector's value. However, if you require MIDI integration for your modern studio setup, a professional installation of the premium hamburg·wave MIDI/CPU Upgrade Kit is optionally available upon request before shipping. Please contact me to discuss the details!
