This beauty comes from Gibson's golden age. The "V" prefix on the serial number indicates that the guitar left the Kalamazoo factory in 1956.
The original tuners crumbled, as these old Gibson tuners tend to do. The replacements look the part, and the originals are included in the case.
I added a strap button to the neck heel. I also swapped the original knobs for modern reproductions. The originals are included in the case.
ES-140 specifications:
Laminate body
Honduran mahogany neck with Brazilian rosewood 12” fretboard
Original frets
22 ¾” scale length; floating rosewood bridge
Celluloid pickguard
Original P90 and electronics
Period correct paperboard case. Is it original? I don't know. It could be.
The finish is flaking on the neck heel. You can see one bad rub mark on the body's side, near the treble-side F hole.
Your guitar will be carefully packed and shipped fully insured through Reverb safe shipping.
