This guitar plays excellent, the neck is stamped with Herb G a legendary neck shaper at fender during that era. the fretboard is rolled perfectly and just fits in your hand perfectly.
The guitar was originally a bigsby tele but I swapped it out for a standard bridge and plugged the holes. I have the original bigsby, bridge and saddles, plus a mastery bridge that came on it.
Lots replaced. But still have most original parts:
- tuners replaced with vintage Kluson, still have 70s white button tuners that came on it
- refretted with JESCAR Jumbos still have a ton of life in them and no dead spots.
- pickups, unoriginal to guitar, but I found an original 1968 tele bridge pickup that sounds killer. Neck is a Tone Specific 1955
- finish is original on body and neck
- replaced pots and switch, but have originals + original control plate.
- bridge is unoriginal allows top loading or string through.
- original hard shell case included.
- 1974 tele warranty/owners manual from original owner
