I could mark this guitar's condition "Excellent", except yes, this one suffered a neck crack. The cracks are in the typical place, on the sides of the neck near the nut. I think it happened during it's first shipment, or near it. It got a professional repair before I bought it, and I've owned it for most of its life. I added a little more epoxy, for appearance, and then sanded and buffed it out. See the photos. The repairs are great. The neck is straight and solid.

The case is included. It's new, and is also sized to take regular Les Pauls. I add just a little padding under the body to hold it in place better. If cases for Specials weren't so hard to find, it would have one of those!

Tuners are upgraded to Kluson keystone black. I think they look great on the guitar. They match original screw holes.

The frets are close to brand new. I've played this guitar only a few hours. I did a light polishing on the frets and oiled the neck, about 1.5 years ago.

The bridge is a "Black Badass Style Intonatable wraparound bridge" from Guitar Fetish.

Pickups are a set of Earl Slick Juniors. See the link to Earl's demo video below. They sound amazingly good, and a *lot* better than I expected.

Pots are GuitarFetish 330kOhms, and are nice.

Switch is a new SwitchCraft. This is from memory, so please excuse me if I'm wrong on the brand. Anyway, it's a new high-quality switch.

Caps are Orange Drops, .022uFarad.

The neck is 50's style chunky, but maybe not up in baseball-bat territory. It's certainly no 60's style, slim taper neck.

The nut is original and probably could be set up to a finer degree. Nevertheless the guitar plays very nice and has pretty low action. See the side photo of the strings by the 12th fret.

If you look closely at the control cavity shots, you'll notice that the neck pup is wired "50's" style, while the bridge pup is wired "modern" style. I read somewhere about that for P90s and had to try it. I like it!

The finish is in great shape. There are no deep scratches, buckle rash or "heart breaker" dents. There is one scratch that is visible in the photos.

You'll notice that the color looks quite different in different shots. That's part of the beauty of TV yellow. It's color shape-shifts in different lighting.

This guitar's best feature, IMO, is its TONE! The sound is so good I just want to keep playing it. If I didn't have to thin my herd, and didn't prefer thinner necks, I'd keep it.

But here it is now for you to buy and enjoy.

BTW, contact me over Reverb to arrange local pickup. I'm open to that.
