The Boss FDR-1 Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb Pedal is the companion piece to the FBM-1 Bassman pedal in Boss's COSM-modeled Fender amp simulator series — a genuine Boss-Fender collaboration designed to capture the specific tonal character of the most recorded combo amp in Fender's catalog and deliver it as a compact stompbox. Where the FBM-1 chases the dark, warm grit of the tweed Bassman, the FDR-1 targets the cleaner, brighter, more chimey blackface Deluxe Reverb voice — the AB763 circuit's sparkling cleans and the harmonically rich breakup that made it the studio standard it remains today.

The control layout mirrors the original amplifier's front panel — bright input, EQ controls, and the kind of touch-sensitive gain response that the original 22-watt Deluxe Reverb circuit is known for. As with the FBM-1, the FDR-1 works equally well as a standalone overdrive/amp-in-a-box pedal into a clean amp, or as a pre-gain coloring stage placed ahead of an already-driven amplifier to layer in the Deluxe Reverb's specific tonal signature. Comes with the original box.
