What this pedal does super well: a ton of different selectable phaser sounds. Tremendous range in both the Freq and Depth knobs. THE BEST stereo phase across the stereo field I've come across. This sound bounces pan from the left to the right amplifier while simultaneously altering the phase as it goes. You are surrounded by swirlyness in a way that none of the other stereo phasers or rotary pedals I've tried quite capture. And I've tried a lot. The most frequent thing I find is that stereo phasers achieve "stereo" by having a wet and a phased output. Not the Moonbeam. It phases the wet across both outputs. So why is it not a keeper for me? That's a frustrating question. I do miss having a mix knob. I miss having little more control over the tone of the phase resonance. And it's not quite as warm or as able to be subtle as my Toneczar Halophaze. On price, size, different phase sounds available, and that stereo separation, the Death By Audio wins points on everything short of actually having me fall in love with it. So someone else can enjoy.
