1970s Greco Jazz Bass MIJ Fiesta Red Matching Headstock Block Inlays w/ Gigbag

Offered here is a fantastic vintage Greco Jazz Bass from the 1970s, built during the golden era of Japanese guitar manufacturing. Greco earned a reputation for producing some of the finest vintage-inspired instruments of the era, and this bass is a perfect example of why these instruments continue to be highly sought after by players and collectors alike.

Inspired by the classic 1970s Fender Jazz Bass, this Greco features many of the cosmetic details that made the originals so desirable, including block fingerboard inlays and a matching Fiesta Red headstock. Combined with the tortoiseshell pickguard, this bass has an undeniably cool vintage look that stands out both on stage and in the studio.

Beyond its looks, this bass delivers the articulate punch, growl, and versatility that have made the Jazz Bass design a favorite for decades.

This bass is in very good overall condition with light cosmetic wear consistent with age and normal use. Minor scratches, small indentations, and surface marks can be found throughout.

At some point in its life, the original bridge was replaced. As a result, the original mounting screw holes remain visible behind the current bridge installation (see photos). The replacement bridge is installed securely and functions properly, with no impact on playability, stability, or tone.

The bass has been professionally set up and plays exceptionally well with comfortable action and excellent feel throughout the neck.

Tone & Playability:

This Greco delivers everything players love about a great vintage Jazz Bass-style instrument: punchy lows, articulate mids, and clear highs with excellent note definition. The neck feels substantial yet comfortable, and the instrument balances beautifully.
