Original 1981 Gibson Johnny Smith Pickguard Wiring Harness

Original Gibson Johnny Smith floating pickguard wiring harness dating to 1981. Acquired from the Edwin Wilson estate and believed to have been retained as spare inventory or an unused replacement assembly. Includes the original gold mounting bracket, output jack, rotary selector switch, potentiometers, capacitors, and wiring as shown.

An increasingly difficult-to-find vintage Gibson assembly, ideal for restoring an original Johnny Smith, replacing a damaged harness, or completing a period-correct project. The potentiometers date to 1981, and the harness retains its original vintage wiring layout and components. A rare opportunity to acquire an authentic Gibson Johnny Smith electronics assembly without having to source the individual parts separately.

The harness shows light cosmetic wear and oxidation consistent with age. Whether intended as factory replacement stock, dealer inventory, or a removed assembly, it remains a highly desirable vintage Gibson component for collectors, restorers, and players seeking authenticity.
