Here's a unique opportunity to own a guitar that's in the same condition as when it was purchased new from a store many years ago. This comes from a collector I know who is selling off most of his 50 guitars (he only played about 3 of them) and this is an opportunity too good to pass up! Case is in great shape. Weight according to our scale is appx: 8 lbs 8 oz. We ship to the 48 contiguous United States.
Color is believed to be Heritage Cherry Sunburst. Year of manufacture is believed to be 2004.
Guitar is in Like New condition. The only blem is on the back(small indentation from light store wear). It doesn't go through the finish and only shows under certain lighting.
Here are some key features of this fine specimen:
Body & Neck
- Wood/Material: Solid, non-weight-relieved lightweight mahogany back with a carved figured (flamed) maple top.
- Neck: 1-piece mahogany neck with a long neck tenon for maximum sustain.
- Profile: Authentic '59 rounded "C" shape (chunky but comfortable).
- Fingerboard: Rosewood with rolled fingerboard binding and cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays.
- Scale Length / Nut Width: 24.75" scale length with a 1.688" (approx. \(1 \frac{11}{16}"\)) nut width.
- Frets: 22 vintage-style frets.
Electronics & Hardware
- Pickups: Dual Gibson BurstBucker pickups (typically BurstBucker 1 & 2 or BurstBucker 3) featuring Alnico II magnets and historically unmatched bobbin windings to replicate original PAF tone.
- Controls: 2 × Volume, 2 × Tone, and a 3-way Switchcraft toggle switch. Features CTS potentiometers and vintage-style bumblebee capacitors.
- Bridge & Tailpiece: Nickel-plated ABR-1 bridge with a lightweight aluminum stopbar tailpiece.
- Tuners: Vintage-style Kluson "Deluxe" tulip tuners.
Finish
- Finish: Nitrocellulose lacquer. The Cherry Sunburst variants in the Historic lineup are frequently referred to as Washed Cherry Sunburst or Heritage Cherry Sunburst. They were available in either a Gloss or Vintage Original Spec (VOS) finish.
