Gibson J-200 Jumbo Acoustic Guitar

Finish: Tobacco Burst

Pickup: LR Baggs piezo with a volume and blend control. The blend control only functions when an optional second pickup element is added. Currently only a piezo pickup is hooked up.

Operational Condition: Fully-Functional

Case: Comes with original Gibson hard case. Case has some duct tape covering what we assume is a hole or other damage. Case interior is in good shape and all latches work.

Cosmetic Condition: Good (-) condition with added electronics and a patch of foam on the heel inside the sound hole presumably where the battery pack was. There is missing finish at the headstock, along the side of the guitar at the lower bout (there may be a small crack in this spot but it's very hard to tell) and some missing finish at the butt end of the guitar. The internal label is partially ripped.

Description: Here's an absolutely wonderful-playing and sounding, player's grade J-200 that is being consigned at our store by perhaps the best luthier in the Midwest. This one has lots of wear and some missing finish, etc but has never been broken in any way. One strum on this guitar and you'll see why this one has acquired some play wear over the last 30-plus years...somebody just couldn't stop playing it! The tone is big and round with rich overtones and really nice balance across the frequency range for a Jumbo guitar (some jumbos can have overbearing bass). If you're looking for a real deal J-200 that's been worn in in all the right ways that you won't have to baby or worry about constantly, you owe it to yourself to consider this inspiring mammoth of a J-200 right here.
