I present to you the finest, One-owner original example of this previously uncirculated Original Gretsch 6128 Duo Jet "Scripty Jet", SN #11916 (#17/150 Scripty Duo Jets made)

In February of 2011, Vintage Guitar magazine wrote about another Duo Jet SN#11915 (one before this) that had a bill of sale dating September 26, 1953. Indicating this guitar was completed sometime around or before this date.

This guitar is in Mint condition and looks as if it was made yesterday.

The Original bridge has been changed to a circa 1960s Schaller Model 20/11, with the original bridge posts being kept, so the change has not modified the body at all. The rear strap button has also been changed, along with a period correct but non original hard shell case. All else is original.

8 lbs 15oz weight. Mahogany Body and Neck. Rosewood fretboard.

David Gilmour, Pete Townshend, and George Harrison have all used early Gretsch models similar to the Duo Jet. However, this guitar predates all of theirs.

Willing to listen to offers.
