This 2012 Fender Kingman is in excellent condition with very little fretwear, some dings here and there, a straight neck with room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments, and a great setup with low action.

Fender introduced the Elvis Kingman acoustic guitar in 2012, hailing the King of Rock 'n' Roll and transporting players back to 1967 with a sharp-looking remake of the Fender acoustic that Elvis Presley wielded in the cinematic romp Clambake. The guitar Elvis played in that film was a Fender Kingman from the mid-1960s — a model that is now firmly established in the visual iconography of Elvis's performing life — and the 2012 reissue recreates it in detail, including the specification that makes these instruments genuinely unusual: the Wildwood finish.

In the mid-1960s Fender introduced the exotic Wildwood finish — achieved by injecting beechwood trees with a chemical dye years before harvesting them, which stained the grain pattern of the living wood from the inside out. The resulting veneer, once harvested and applied to the back, sides, and headstock, carries color patterns that are completely random and unrepeatable — no two Wildwood instruments look identical because no two trees absorb dye identically. Wildwood guitars were available in gold, brown, purple, dark blue, purple-blue, green, or blue-green — the specific color of each instrument determined entirely by the tree. The 2012 Elvis Kingman recreates this process for the back and sides, producing the same genuinely one-of-a-kind visual character that made the original 1960s Wildwood instruments so distinctive.

The Viking-shaped rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, double checkerboard soundhole rosette, and ivoroid binding complete the period-correct body specification. The Fender Stratocaster-style headstock carries Elvis Presley's signature — the visual detail that distinguishes it from a generic Kingman reissue. Solid spruce top, rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays on a maple neck, 14" fingerboard radius, 20 frets, 25.3" scale, 1-5/8" nut. At 4 lbs 1.5 oz this is an exceptionally light dreadnought. Action set at 2/32" on both strings at the twelfth fret. Very good condition throughout. Non-original Guild hardshell case in very good condition included.
