Up for sale is a stunning 2003 PRS Custom 22 10-Top in a classic, vibrant Scarlet Red finish. This guitar features a gorgeous, highly figured flame maple 10-Top and pairs the legendary build quality of early-2000s Maryland production with smart, highly functional electronic upgrades.
This Custom 22 is very clean for its age, showing only honest, light cosmetic signs of use over its 20+ year life. It has been meticulously cared for, plays effortlessly, and features an upgraded control layout that makes it much more versatile and intuitive on stage or in the studio.
Smart Electronic Upgrades
The original, often cumbersome 5-way rotary switch has been professionally swapped out for a much more user-friendly layout:
• 3-Way Toggle Switch: Replaces the rotary control for standard, intuitive neck/both/bridge pickup selection.
• Mini-Toggle Switch: Added discretely to allow crisp, clear coil-splitting for both humbuckers, unlocking those glassy, single-coil chime tones at the flick of a switch.

Condition Report
• Body & Finish: Very clean for a 2003 model. The Scarlet Red finish is deep and clear. There are light surface marks and minor polishing swirls consistent with careful, light play over the years, but no major gashes, deep dings, or finish chips.
• Neck & Frets: The neck is straight and the truss rod adjusts perfectly. The frets are in excellent shape with very minimal wear and plenty of life left.
• Electronics & Hardware: The upgraded 3-way and mini-toggle operate flawlessly, quietly, and smoothly. The chrome hardware and locking tuners are in great condition and hold tuning rock-solid.
