This "hardtail" Fender Stratocaster was made in the USA in 1966. The body has a very convincing Fiesta Red refin that looks pretty authentic and is definitely older and has a naturally aged patina. All of the parts appear original. The neck has the original finish and decal, and the decal is for a trem model. This could have been a factory mistake, or it is possible someone switched necks on 2 66 strats at some point for some reason. There are some extra holes on the back of the neck where it mounts to the body, but this doesn't really explain much since all Strats have the same mounting pattern. There is also a second string tree hole. This one weighs just 7 pounds and 1 ounce and is a monster player. It has been pro-setup in our store, plays great, and comes with the original case.
