PRS Paul Reed Smith CE (circa 2002) with hardcase
A gorgeous PRS CE 22 model. The trans green top shows off the flamed grain nicely. Plays incredibly smoothly and sounds incredible as you'd expect from a PRS. This one had the pickups swapped out for PRS Metal \m/ pickups. The tone control is wired to act as a pull coil tap for the pickups. They break up nicely with an aggressive tone. But they remain clear and articulate. They do also clean up well too. To my ears I feel they have a modern sound that is tight and bright. This is a used item and there is some minor cosmetic wear. The bridge has been upgraded with some brass hardware. There is some plating worn off the tuners exposing the brass. The original hardcase is included with the guitar as well as some case candy.
PRS \m/ pickups are designed for heavier genre styles of music with the metal community in mind.
Both the treble and bass \m/ pickups are wound in house at PRS and utilize both ceramic and Alnico magnets for full, powerful and crystal clear tones. Whether used with massive amounts of gain or played clean, \m/ pickups are the perfect tool for the player who wants aggressive and articulate tone.
These pickups have been through the PRS TCI process, which uses signal analyzation and "tuning" technology to dial in their sound.
