For sale is a custom, Hot Rodded, Walnut body stratocaster style guitar.
This is definitely a quality guitar, and I have used high end components where it counts.
I had a guy custom make the walnut body, I used a single layer of walnut stain to hold color over the years, and finished with an entire can of 2K matte 2 part automotive clearcoat, about 10 coats.
I wanted a 24 fret neck, so I went with a custom high end Warmoth Warhead neck with jumbo stainless frets and a 24 fret overhang (hence the middle/neck position humbucker), see full specs in picture too. I had to Dremel the heel to get the fit and alignment perfect.

The straight 16" radius neck is super easy to play, I like to use them for non-Floyd guitars. I have strung it with a 10-46 D’Addario set. I am a player and I set these up for standing and sitting. I always use elliptical strap pins that lock in the end of the strap and will not allow it to come off when standing up. I also took 800/1000/1500 sandpaper and sanded the clear gloss on the back of the neck to a slick satin finish, it’s not a gloss feel, but is very smooth so it doesn’t feel like a ‘sanded neck’ either. I worked on the heel as the neck pocket was very tight. I wanted to make sure the strings line up perfectly.
I used a string through body Hipshot bridge for modern intonation control. I also use locking tuners. A roller string tree adds stability on the headstock.
Because I like high output pickups, and I really like this brand, I went with hard to find Tesla Plasma 3 pickup set. I have used these in my personal guitars and a few that I have sold. The pickup resistance is very high at 23.5Kohm Bridge / 16.7Kohm Neck. They are high output, but with volume turned down, they clean up really well. To get the most out of them I had a custom 5 position switching harness made. It has a 5-way switch, one volume knob.
Positions are:
1. Neck humbucker
2. Neck single coil + bridge single coil in series with neck inner coil
3. Bridge and neck single coil in series
4. Bridge and neck single coil in parallel
5. Bridge humbucker
Both pots are A500k The volume has a treble bleed cap, the tone is a push/pull. This is a custom tone pot that gives you 3 different settings. One in down position and two in up position. The setting in down position is a greasebucket circuit. This lets you turn your tone down without losing highs. When pulled up on 10 it gives you a fixed wah setting. Turned down to 0 it gives you a smooth blues tone.
I also wired in a momentary kill switch for that ‘stutter’ effect. It’s fun and, well, why not…
I went with GFS true lock tuners as I like the simplicity and didn’t want to use a cheap set of locking tuners. These lock from the top and wind the string low on the post for low OHL on the tuners, leading to longer tuner life. The input jack is very tight, but works perfectly.
This is all around designed to be a great playing rock/blues guitar.
Again, I’m still including a padded, ballistic nylon gig bag, a strap, and a tin with a variety of my shop logo picks.

I started building to be able to play the guitars I’d wanted to buy, but couldn’t find or couldn’t afford. I almost always start a build thinking, “this is gonna be my keeper for sure….” Then – G.A.S., and it’s off to start another, then I have to try to get my costs back out of the build I finished. These are hand finished, and, where applicable, hand shaped for specific recesses, teles usually, so there are little blems and imperfections, but you’d have to hunt for them, nothing that would not be in the listing pictures.
Now I do this for fun, and to cover the costs to be able donate one or more guitars per year to charity, Guitars for Vets. I would encourage you to donate any 'working' guitars, you do not use, to your local chapter. You can also make small donations on eBay when you make purchases. Helps with veteran suicide prevention.
My UPS shipping is setup for lower 48 states, but will ship elsewhere if you give me full address and I can get a quote. I have sold/shipped guitars as far away as Norway (two of them, one custom build) and into Africa. I use guitar specific boxes ($25/each) and ship them in the gig bag. I’ve even had one fall off a truck and the guitar was unharmed (box did its job).
If you are local and wish to pick it up, contact me first, please.
Everyone who has bought one of my guitars has been extremely happy. 100% positive reviews in 27 years on eBay

Don't know if you are still on this site but just wanted to say thanks again for the custom strat. She gets plenty of use and is my main go to player. I might have better "case queens" but that strat just flat out rocks. I use it at all my gigs. Peace!

Super great seller! This is a smart take on the classic Esquire formula: push-style knob gets you the treble-centric tones, and also a terrific humbucker flavor that is not muddy like Esquires can be. I would say this is instantly one of my favorite guitars! Hope to deal with you again.
