2003 PRS Custom 22 - Blood Orange

Up for sale is a PRS Custom 22 "10 top" in Blood Orange. Made in the USA in 2003. Mahogany body with matching mahogany headstock. Flame Maple top, Mahogany "Wide Fat" neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Abalone bird inlays and chrome hardware. The binding is a beautifully flamed natural curly maple. PRS/Schaller locking tuners. 25" scale. Nut width: 1.69". 7.8 lbs.

This guitar features two PRS Dragon II humbucking pickups wired with a 5-way rotary selector knob as well as master volume and tone controls. 

The PRS Dragon II humbucking pickups deliver thick and full-bodied tones, with plenty of switching options to ensure versatility. The Dragon II in the neck position is warm and round, and delivers plenty of power to push those lead lines and solos to the front of the mix. The Dragon II in the bridge is brighter, and can handle serious amounts of gain for a saturated rhythm guitar sound on your riffs and power chords. In positions 2 & 4 the pickups effectively split, providing an out-of-phase single coil sound which works well for crystal clear shimmering clean sounds. The control layout remains simple but offers plenty of scope for shaping your tone. 

This one has been a workhorse for many years. A versatile go-to instrument that covers almost any style of music. Listing as very good because of a few dings and scratches which I have tried to capture in the pictures Most notably, there are two small impressions on the front of the guitar which go through the finish. There is also a scratch on the bass side of the bridge and a ding on the top point of the headstock. The finish on the bass side of the top near the binding shows slight fading. There is some oxidation on the pickup covers. Other areas show regular wear common for a 23 year old guitar.

The original wrap-around stoptail bridge has been upgraded to a PRS adjustable bridge with brass saddles to better dial-in intonation. Strap buttons have been replaced with Dunlop straplok buttons. All original hardware is included.

Comes with original hard-shell case and original documentation.

Frets have been dressed and the fretboard oiled. Currently set up with D'addario 10 NYXL strings. Low action.
