Up for sale, a 1964 Gibson Melody Maker in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. Featherweight at 5lbs 14oz, tonewoods include a Honduran mahogany body and neck capped with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard. The bridge position single coil pickup combines a Fender-esque snap and twang with the fuller midrange and low end punch that mahogany provides, with a raw, bell-like sound and tonal profile all its own. This Melody Maker has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Sunburst nitro lacquer finish is quite vibrant, exhibiting prominent horizontal checking, with some minor dings on the back and body perimeter. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is smooth and clean, with a few shallow nicks behind fret 12 that are not distracting to the palm while fretting.
A modern black tolex hardshell case is included.
