With its ceramic adjustable bridge saddle, there’s a lively and clear quality to this dreadnought, offering plenty of detail and woody cut. There’s a certain sweetness and soft growl attributable to the mahogany back/sides when digging in hard with a flatpick. The low end is deep, the midrange is layered and punchy, and there’s a certain bell-like quality and bounce to the plain strings. The gloss Cherry Sunburst nitro lacquer is bright, bold and exceedingly well-kept, with zero touch-up or overspray, exhibiting minimal vertical checking and a couple pinhead-sized dings on top, along with some faint finish scratches on the back. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is clean and smooth, with a few shallow marks along the profile length.
