Up for sale, a 1992 Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster in near-mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with a hardshell case. An early USA Yngwie Strat (original version) with all the hallmarks of this classic Fender Signature model, this guitar features a pair of DiMarzio HS-3 DP117 pickups in the bridge and neck positions, a scalloped rosewood fingerboard and satin neck profile finish, modern two-point Synchronized Tremolo, brass nut, small Pre-CBS headstock shape, and a rare gloss custom color Sonic Blue finish.
The DiMarzio HS-3 (DP117) stacked single coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions are paired with an American Standard single coil pickup in the middle position. The Dimarzio DP117s offers hum-free performance with a broad low end that's warm and tight with a smooth, glassy treble response. These qualities combine perfectly with a heavily distorted amp, engineered for neo-classical shred. This Yngwie Malmsteen Model Stratocaster weighs 7lbs 8oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, slinky action, and accurate intonation.

The gloss Sonic Blue finish has a more relaxed vintage-spec appearance than later iterations, with subtle greening of the clear coat. Extremely well-kept, cosmetic wear is limited to a small area of buckle scuffing on the back at the belly contour and just a few tiny marks on top. The smooth satin finish on the neck profile is flawless.
A molded hardshell case is included.
