Up for sale, a 2023 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 1957 Stratocaster Relic in near-mint, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original G&G hardshell case, CoA, hangtags, and case candy. This Custom Shop model faithfully replicates the hallmarks of a late ‘57 Stratocaster, featuring handwound black bobbin pickups and a gloss Faded Aged Daphne Blue nitro lacquer finish with Fender’s Relic treatment.
Weighing 7lbs 12oz, tonewoods include an alder body, a maple neck with a soft V-shaped profile carve, and a maple fingerboard with a modern 9 1/2“ radius and 6105 fretwire. The trio of Custom Shop Handwound single coil pickups deliver quintessential Stratocaster tonalities at each position on the five-way pickup selector switch, featuring period-correct construction with black fiber bobbins, formvar wire, Alnico magnets (vintage stagger), and cloth-covered leads. The ‘57 single coil at the neck is sparkling and lively, the Fat ‘50s in the middle position is designed for enhanced bass response without any midrange harshness, and the Texas Special at the bridge offers a slightly overwound, aggressive character for extra punch. This Custom Shop Limited Edition 1957 Stratocaster Relic has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 9-42 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
