Up for sale, a 1963 Gibson EB-0 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Introduced in 1959 in response to declining sales of the EB-1, the EB-0 originally came with a Les Paul Junior style body, quickly superseded by the SG style body in 1961, boasting a shorter 30 1/2“ scale length.

Featuring solid Honduran mahogany construction and a Brazilian rosewood fretboard, this EB-0 weighs 7lbs 13oz. The famous “Mudbucker” pickup delivers pure, fat low-end thump and wooly richness, sitting perfectly in a mix, deftly below the midrange frequencies of guitar and keys, a perfect complement to the inherent smoothness of the short scale design. This EB-0 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 45-100 roundwound strings and easy-playing action.

The gloss Cherry nitro lacquer finish is 100% original with no touch-up or overspray, exhibiting horizontal checking on the back. Cosmetic wear includes pick scuffing (including a small area through the finish) on top, several minor dings along the lower bout perimeter, and a couple small chips on top beneath the bridge. The nitro gloss on the neck profile has an easy-playing feel, with a few of shallow marks along the profile length worn smooth through play.

The original black ‘large pebble” hardshell case is included. The case features functional latches, the original handle, and small Gibson badge on the exterior.
