Up for sale, a 1985 Greco Mint Collection model EG59-240 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Crafted at the Fujigen factory, this non-catalog Greco is an extremely rare, top-tier model only available via custom order, designed as a unique spin on a classic ‘Burst with premium features including a carved two-piece flame maple top, a three-piece flame maple neck with a ‘59-style chunky C profile carve and long tenon joint, an ebony fingerboard, Grover Rotomatic tuners, gold-plated hardware, and a pair of “DRY” humbuckers.

Weighing only 8lbs 15oz, this EG59-240 dishes out plenty of natural warmth, treble cut and sweet sustain, qualities faithfully captured by the “DRY” PAF-style humbuckers. Wound in-house at Fujigen and designed as a successor to the beloved Maxon-made Dry Z humbuckers (widely considered to be among the most faithful PAF recreations to ever come out of Japan), these pickups are rich, smooth, and warm. The bridge pickup has a rich growl and cut while retaining terrific low-mid breadth, and the neck is expansive and powerful without sacrificing articulation. This EG59-240 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.

The dark gloss Cherry Sunburst finish highlights the straight tiger flame figuring in the carved two-piece top, extending evenly from edge to edge. There are some finish chips on the body perimeter, moderate buckle rash on the back at the bass-side waist, and some additional minor dings and scuffs. The gloss on the neck profile is nigh flawless, similarly highlighting the evenly-distributed flame figuring in the maple.

The original Lifton-style brown tolex hardshell case is included; one of the hinge pins is not present.
