For your consideration, a 2003 Martin D-18GE Golden Era. We are big fans of the Golden Era Martins, and especially the 1930s-inspired D-18 recipe found on models like this one. Martin really hit one out of the park here. Lightweight, premium materials, and all the right vintage-minded specs wrapped into a dependable modern production instrument. Hard to miss with one of these. This dreadnought has low miles, though it does show some honest signs of use. There are a few dings and scratches here and there, but nothing that suggests abuse or neglect. The neck is straight, the truss rod works as it should, and fretwear is minimal with no effect on intonation. There are no signs of previous repairs, the bracing and bridge plate are intact, the neck angle is correct, and the neck has never been removed. The bridge is securely attached and has not been off. No cracks, no finish repairs, no excuses.Even better, all of the original paperwork is included, right down to the original receipt from when it was purchased new at Gruhn Guitars in Nashville. That is a nice touch on an already very appealing guitar. It has been freshly set up and restrung, and it is exactly the kind of Martin that is hard to put down once you pick it up. Big, dry, textbook early dreadnought sound and feel, with the looks to match.Available for a test drive in our Jamestown, Kentucky showroom, and we ship worldwide.
