For your consideration, a 1982 Kramer Stagemaster Standard Bass with factory graphics. We are Kramer people around here. In fact, this store was founded by a former Kramer employee, so we absolutely get it. We are always on the hunt for old Kramers, and we are especially excited to offer this rare beast for sale.A Stagemaster Standard Bass with an aluminum neck is already cool and uncommon on its own, but this one goes a step further with a factory special-order graphic finish. Of all the standard graphic options Kramer offered in this period, this is the one we seem to encounter the least. We went digging hard and could not find another Stagemaster Standard Bass with factory graphics anywhere. The old Kramer Registry does not show one either. Maybe more are out there. Maybe somebody has a pile of them hidden away. We cannot say that for sure. What we can say is that this one has to be rare.Better yet, it is not just a cool wall piece. This bass plays and sounds fantastic. Freshly set up and restrung, it has low action, a fast neck, and a voice that lands somewhere in P-Bass territory but with a little more bite and aggression. The look might scream hair band, but this thing handles a lot more than that. Funk, R&B, jazz, classic rock, country... it is a genuinely versatile bass. The stock pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder, and the pots and tone cap were also replaced. It now has master volume and master tone controls with replacement knobs. Aside from the electronics, the bass remains stock and retains all of its original hardware. It weighs in at a comfortable 11 lbs 1 oz, and the compact body makes it feel more nimble than some other basses we have in the same weight range. The original hardshell case and hangtag are included.Available for a test drive in our Jamestown, Kentucky showroom, and we ship worldwide. Let us know if you have any questions.
