The Suzuki Q-Chord (model QC-1) is a digital "songcard guitar" and the modern successor to the classic Suzuki Omnichord. Combining the portability of an electric guitar with the features of a synthesizer, it allows musicians and beginners alike to easily play chords, melodies, and auto-accompaniment.

• Touch-Sensitive Strumplate: A 4-octave ribbon interface that can be tapped or strummed to mimic acoustic guitar strings or layered synth voices. It is mathematically designed to prevent hitting "wrong" notes.
• Chord Buttons: 36 soft-touch buttons allow access to 84 different chord combinations, including major, minor, 7th, augmented, and diminished variations.
• Melody Keyboard: Functions alongside the chords to let you play lead lines.

Sound & Rhythm

• 109 General MIDI Voices: Features an extensive library of onboard instruments
• Rhythm Section: Includes 10 built-in style categories like Rock, Country, Lounge, and Waltz, alongside fully adjustable 4-channel accompaniment (drums, bass, and chords).
• Digital Expansion (QCards): Accepts removable song/sound cartridges that add pre-programmed backing tracks, drums, and auto-arrangements.

Hardware & Connectivity

• Controls: Includes a pitch-bend wheel, whammy bar-like effect, and built-in effects (reverb, chorus, and vibrato).
• Connectivity: Features standard 1/4" line-out for amplifiers, standard MIDI In/Out for connecting to a computer or DAW, and a headphone jack.
• Power: Operates using either an AC power adapter or standard C-cell batteries.
