This 2003 Carlo Robelli New York ES-500 is a highly regarded full-hollow body archtop electric guitar, built as a direct copy of the vintage Gibson ES-5. These guitars were commissioned as a house brand for Sam Ash Music and manufactured in South Korea by the prestigious Peerless factory (the same facility that built the acclaimed Epiphone Zephyr Blues Deluxe and Peerless Monarch). Based on the serial number, 0310199, the first two digits indicate that your specific instrument was manufactured in 2003.

Here we have a 2003 Carlo Robelli ES-500 archtop in neat mint condition. In fact it 'is' mint with the exception of the fading-aging all gold hardware being 23 years old.

It came in from Detroit's own bluesman story teller 'Robert Jones'. GOOGLE him as I will be here all day with his story. This guitar is just a small part of his performing arsenal which he is downsizing. All of Robert's guitars are players as he performs pretty much full time all over the world.

This fine playing archtop is fully original. The frets are all there like new.

I will install or give you a fresh set of the string guage of your choice. Right now it has .10-.46 strings. It is recommended you put on .11-.52 guage for the overall best results.

11-52 (Medium): Highly Recommended. This gauge brings out the natural acoustic resonance of the flame maple body and stabilizes the tuning tension required by the Bigsby system.

We are having and have had a lot of fun here at Gordy's Music! I was just remembering about 35 years ago a tour bus pulled up to our little shop, and who rolls right in and hangs out for an hour?
