PRS originally unveiled the Tree of Life Custom 24 Limited Edition featuring a specially redesigned Tree of Life inlay, limited to a run of only 100 guitars worldwide (with only 50 pieces produced in this stunning Makena Blue finish). This model is based on the original “Custom 24” from 1985 and was created to celebrate the 2011 upgrades of the Custom 24 model.

Please note: The instrument described here is a highly modified version of this limited edition. The factory-installed pickups and small parts are no longer present and have been replaced with premium custom components.The guitar features an updated version of the Tree of Life inlay, which was previously shown on the 1996 Rosewood Ltd. guitar. Designed in collaboration with Jaime Aulson of Pearl Works, the inlay is made of Green Abalone (both standard and heart varieties), Black-Lip Ocean Pearl Oyster, and Donkey Ear Abalone. This intricate design sets the instrument apart, serving as a stunning visual mark of its exclusivity.All woods for these guitars were handpicked by Paul Reed Smith and the PRS wood team. The selection includes artist-grade tops, artist-grade curly maple necks, and ribboned mahogany backs. The fretboard is made of rosewood, and the headstock features a rosewood veneer with an extended Tree of Life inlay.

Modifications:

• Pickups: Upgraded to high-performance Bare Knuckle Miracle Man pickups.
• Custom Parts: Upgraded with high-quality Crazyparts components, including custom tuner buttons, control knobs, and the switch tip.
• Pickup Rings: Upgraded to premium wooden rosewood pickup rings (perfectly matching the fretboard and headstock veneer).
• Original Parts: Please note that the original factory pickups, stock knobs, stock tuner buttons, the original switch tip, and the stock plastic pickup rings are not included with this guitar.

• Bridge & Tuners: Original PRS Tremolo bridge and PRS Phase III Locking Tuners (now fitted with the Crazyparts buttons).
• Case: Original PRS artist case included.
