1973 Fender Jazz Bass with a natural finish over an Ash body. It's in exceptionally good condition. Most natural finishes from this period are found with maple boards, which makes this one a bit more distinctive. The ash body, natural finish, rosewood fingerboard combination is a less commonly seen. It's missing the metal pickup and bridge covers but is otherwise all-original and complete, including the case.

This is an excellent bass, with a nice slim neck. It has tons of tone, and the growl is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full, this bass really sings with tons of top end, the mids punch through, and the bottom end holds it all together.

The body finish is near-mint, with the only visible wear being light surface scuffing. The headstock has a few very small dings, but is clean overall. The neck is very clean, and the binding is all intact. The frets are in excellent condition, and there's plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should, and the neck is straight.

Fully set up in our workshop with a set of (unknown brand) round wound strings and medium/low action, giving great playability. All 3 pots date to mid-late '73. Both pickups date to 1973 and have original winds.  The neck is dated 40th week of '72. Serial: 411568. Weight: 10 lbs  / 4.54 kg. Nut Width: 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22 mm.
