Gibson Les Paul Deluxe 1969 - 1974 - Goldtop

GIBSON LES PAUL DELUXE - GOLD TOP - 1969-1974

For your consideration is this 1969-1974 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top. This has the ”Pancake” style body with a thin piece of maple sandwiched between two pieces of mahogany and a maple cap. This is noticeable in the side profile photos. The body on this Gibson has almost no checking in the original finish, I captured what it has in the photo with the frets. A handful of tiny dings on the front and a blemish on the lower horn near the binding.

The back of the pancake body has a decent amount of buckle rash but no finish is missing. back of the neck is in very good condition with no dents, dings or cracks to note. There’s a small blemish on the back top edge near the switch cavity.

The headstock has some blemishes on the face, but again, no checking and overall in good condition with a few blemishes along the edge.

The neck is straight, truss rod is fully functional and turns both ways with ease. The frets show little to no signs of wear, look great, and play like vintage Les Paul’s do. Ernie Ball Slinky 10-46 strings.

The tuners and electronics are the only parts that are not original and were replaced before I purchased it. The mini humbuckers and switch are all original.
I’m only selling because I prefer the Jazzmaster and ES body. A guitar of this caliber deserves to be played, not just a beautiful wall piece. I’m hoping to unite this guitar with someone who is looking for THIS EXACT guitar, not just trying to resell it.
