Epiphone Slash Les Paul Appetite Burst (2024)
The body/neck was purchased new December 2024 from the Stratosphere. The hardware and Guyker locking tuners are from China, they work fine. Those are Probucker 2 & 3 PUs. Never liked the look of uncovered humbuckers. Volume pots are push/pull and split the coils on the PUs.
The good (there's lots): The pickups are surprisingly nice sounding, given their price point. No they are not as responsive as the Burstbuckers on a couple of Gibsons I have, but they don't cost $$$. The neck is a little different than a 60s slim taper (I have three of those and it's my preferred neck carve on Gibsons). It feels just slightly less wide and just slightly deeper at the back of the neck. Perhaps a little more C ish than a 60s slim taper. Very comfortable - easy to play. Also, speaking of comfortable, it is 8 lbs 7 oz. I'm sure it's not chambered, but a very manageable weight for a LP. The guitar is in excellent cosmetic condition. Not that much play over the last year and a half. Out to a handful of practices, never gigged. I never call anything mint, but it's close. Little noticeable fret wear.
The bad: No case. I will ship in the box the body/neck arrived in. I can throw in a cheap gig bag, if you wish. Also, the coil split will produce your typical significant volume reduction. Put together a Strat with a Shawbucker that had DSP in the circuitry to make up for the volume reduction. Nice! And expensive, too :).
If you're looking for an Epiphone Les Paul Standard in excellent condition - think this is a fair deal.
