This violin is a beautiful example of high-quality German craftsmanship. It is labeled Johan Georg Kessler 1925 made in Germany. Handwritten below the label is the initials "HS". I left the patina. It has the original finish with a new satin gloss varnish on the beautiful spruce top plate and has a unique two-piece maple back and ribs. There were no cracks on the top or back but I did professionally repair the rib seams. This violin has been setup with aluminum magnesium core strings which gives it an amazing sound. This violin has been stored in a smoke-free and pet-free environment.
