[Features and Appeal]
LOTUS Trumpets' SILVER FLARE has overturned the conventional wisdom of "silver bell trumpets."
The attempt to use silver material for the bell has been undertaken by many manufacturers throughout history, starting with the long-established American company KING.
Its appeal lies in its rich and deep sound. However, at the same time, it has always been accompanied by challenges such as increased weight and sluggish response.
SILVER FLARE brilliantly overcomes this trade-off.
By using 99.9% pure silver for the bell flare and combining it with yellow brass for the stem, it achieves both rich overtones and a light response.
It does not give the "heaviness" or "sluggishness" characteristic of silver, but rather achieves a surprisingly smooth and agile playing feel.
The sound is sweet, soft, and yet lustrous.
When you add breath, it shines brilliantly, and at low volumes, it can be delicately controlled while maintaining density. It feels as if the "range" of the sound itself has expanded.
Furthermore, the high-precision nickel silver leadpipe and bronze receiver, which are machined from a single block of metal, ensure the core and stability of the sound.
By using the three types of tuning slides (yellow brass/bronze/nickel silver), it is also possible to freely change the sound character.
Taking a step beyond the conventional positioning of silver bells as instruments for special occasions.
It has been completed as a "practical silver bell" that responds to the player's intentions, regardless of genre or scene.
