Warmoth T-Style Acoustic/Electric Hybrid

American-made Warmoth body and neck with professional assembly and fretwork by the late renowned luthier Steve Keahey in Jasper, Tennessee in 2016. Some minor wear but very clean overall and well taken care of. Mono M80 gig bag in good condition and matching Mono Betty guitar strap are included with the instrument.

The guitar is set up with a low and easy playing action and currently strung with regular electric strings, but I have also successfully used it with acoustic strings in the vein of an Acoustasonic or Tom Anderson Crowdster type hybrid being able to blend between the piezo and magnetic pickups. I even put ball-end nylon strings on it a few times for specific gigs and it really didn’t sound any different than my Sadowsky electric nylon.

I toured and recorded with this instrument for several years with a progressive rock band, but also found the guitar very well suited for church music and other situations that require covering a wide range of both electric and acoustic sounds. The combination of the noiseless Lace Alumitones and the piezo work best with any kind of digital modeling type rig and provide a good “blank slate” to build tones from.

I’m no longer playing any electric guitar these days and would be happy to see this instrument go to a new home and used regularly. With the recent rise in prices over the last couple of years, I think one would be very hard-pressed to find a better quality American-made guitar with comparable features in this price range.
