Up for sale is my 2012 Paul Reed Smith P22 10-Top in the stunning Black Gold Burst finish. This is one of PRS's most versatile Core models, combining classic PRS humbucker tones with a highly regarded LR Baggs/PRS piezo system capable of producing convincing acoustic-style sounds at the flip of a switch. If you're looking for a lightweight, amazing sounding electric guitar that can also do acoustic really well (especially with a Radial PZ-DI), this is the one! The figured maple 10-Top on this guitar is exceptional, with beautiful curly figuring that really comes alive under stage or studio lighting.

I've classified the guitar as Very Good (following Reverb guidelines) due to one small ding on the front edge of the body (pictured), but otherwise the guitar is remarkably clean. The top, back, neck, and headstock present in excellent to near-mint condition with only the light handling wear expected of a well-cared-for instrument. Frets show minimal wear and the guitar plays beautifully up and down the neck.

Originally equipped with PRS 53/10 pickups, I installed a PRS HFS Treble pickup in the bridge position to match a PRS Custom 24 that is my main guitar. This pickup gives a little more output and aggression than the stock 53/10s. The original 53/10 bridge pickup is included in the sale and will ship with the guitar, allowing the next owner to return it to factory specification if desired.

Why the P22?

The P22 was PRS's first production solidbody piezo model and remains one of the most practical "one guitar covers the entire gig" instruments ever produced. From rich PRS humbucker tones to convincing acoustic textures and blended sounds, it can handle virtually any musical situation without switching guitars.

This example offers the best of both worlds: the punch and output of the HFS pickups for modern rock applications, plus the original 53/10 pickups included for collectors and traditionalists.

The guitar will be carefully packed and shipped in its original PRS case.
