Brief history: The idea was to build a shred monster that did not require a locking nut. The design was carefully thought out to create minimum friction for tuning stability & divebomb playing, but also make it easier for novice players who do not fully understand the intricate nature of (or players who are easily annoyed by) a fully locking system. It works well!
This guitar is a shred monster. Super thin neck with 2 carbon fiber rods installed beside the 2 way truss rod for extra stability & stregth. When I designed this guitar it was with future modification in mind. The custom neck will accomodate any choice of nut, locking or otherwise. Yes, you can install a locking Floyd Rose system without too much trouble. I wanted to have options, so that's how I designed it. Obviously someone with knowledge & skill should do the work if a change is desired.
Comes with hard shell case.
