This is a genuine piece of British history.
Up for sale is an incredibly rare, late-1960s Shaftesbury 4001 thinline semi-hollow electric guitar. Originally sold by the iconic Andy’s Guitar Centre on Denmark Street, the original shop sticker is still perfectly intact on the back of the headstock.
Important Note for Collectors:
This is the highly coveted, earliest Japanese production version built by the legendary Matsumoku factory, featuring a premium neck-through-body design. This is not a generic Italian bolt-on copy from the later Eko production line. It shares the exact premium DNA and build specifications as the global Ibanez 2361.
