Jackson King V Custom Shop KBJ "James Hetfield" Master of Puppets 2024 - Ivory

Up for sale is an incredibly rare 2024 Jackson Custom Shop “Kill Bon Jovi” King V in mint / like-new condition.

This guitar is a modern take on the James Hetfield KBJ Jackson King V used during the Master of Puppets era, and is one of only four ever made by the Jackson Custom Shop.

Jackson initially refused the build and only agreed in 2023 on the condition that multiple guitars be ordered. Four were commissioned in total, and Jackson will never offer these specifications again.

This build includes several rare features that Jackson Custom Shop reportedly refuses to replicate, including fret nibs and the further-back tailpiece placement found on the original KBJ.

The guitar was ordered as a “modernized” version of Hetfield’s original Jackson order, incorporating several updates inspired by his modern preferences. Unlike the original KV1-style layout, this guitar features a Soloist-style control layout, along with a bone nut instead of the plastic nut found on the original KBJ.

Finished in historically correct Ivory, this guitar also reflects the original KBJ finish from the early days before Jackson offered Snow White as a color option.
