The Purple Sensor is one of the hotter Lace Sensor models and is designed for players who want more output and midrange than a traditional Strat-style pickup while retaining the low-noise advantages of the Lace Sensor design. Lace describes the Purple as a hot overwound single-coil tone, voiced between the Burgundy and Blue Sensor, designed for the bridge position or for a P-90-type tone in the neck.
