This is a 1980 Fender Stratocaster 1980 in Tobacco Sunburst w/ original case.

Three-bolt neck Fender Stratocaster from the Fullerton factory. Pots and pickups date 1980. The pickups are two standard Stratocaster single coils in middle and neck positions with fiber bobbins, and one X-1 single coil in the bridge, again with fiber bottoms. These were manufactured prior to Fender using plastic bobbins for their pickups. The X-1 has a higher output with a DC resistance of about 7.4kΩ (the "96" written on the bottom of the X-1 indicates 9600 coils windings for higher output).

One piece maple neck. Ash body. Guitar weighs 10 lbs. 10 oz. Not too heavy. Neck has some beef to it similar to a 1950s Les Paul and balances nicely with the body.

Original 5-way switch.

Comes with original black tipped tremolo arm.

Included is a 1980s Fender polishing cloth, a reproduction Fender strap, and a reproduction Fender Tremolo cover. Also included are several Fender guitar picks from the 1980s.

Frets show wear and minor pitting, but very even up and down the neck. No buzzing.

The case is original to the guitar when purchased by the original owner back in 1980. It's actually a 1978 Jazz Master case manufactured for only 6 months before being pulled from the market due to staining white paint. In the case of this guitar, there was no staining issue at all. There is a minor crack at the bottom of the guitar case (near stud feet) that does no interfere with the integrity of the case. Stickers were on case when I bought the guitar. The guitarist I believe was from the band Seconds Flat.

There are some minor dings on the neck and body seen in photos provided.

The guitar is all original with no modifications.
